Vernal Equinox Surprise Shawl. March 19, 2009 at 5:48 pm ( Uncategorized. I finished my first lace project, the Vernal Equinox Surprise Shawl ( http:/ www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vernal-equinox-shawl-surprise. I adored making it, I adore lace and I was able to block it yesterday. Here is the story of my first blocking experience. Then I went about pinning the top down. This is where I learned the lesson that washing and blocking a swatch is never a bad idea. The top ended up with a 78 inch w...The c...
Beautiful Day | The Crafty Scientist
https://craftyscientist.wordpress.com/2009/03/05/beautiful-day
March 5, 2009 at 11:10 pm ( Uncategorized. It is sunny and 63 degrees in Iowa today, a bit of a shock. But being in Iowa I fully expect snow by the end of the weekend. But until then I have come here to blog a non-private blog for once. So the scientist part of this blog is on hold. Yes, I am a scientist, but my main role is now stay-at-home Mom. Science can wait until the kids start school. Why work when my whole paycheck would be needed for daycare? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

http://gegecrochet.blogspot.com/2009/03/mario-party-part-2-my-quest.html
Sunday, March 29, 2009. Part 2- My Quest. My husband wanted a hat with Mario on it-I was unable to get my idea for a hat to work, but I thought, I could so do it as a scarf! Thus the Mario scarf. Even though I had the concept down correctly, I did not know how to change colors correctly- there were huge holes in between my color changes. I'll show an example of this in just a bit. I soon started on my blanket with this panel- The Beginning of a Journey:. I fell in love with these two! Well, all that chan...

More photos, as promised. This is right at the beginning of the wedding. I'm sorry I can't remember the groomsmen's names, or those of the bridesmaids, but they al. L looked wonderful and did a great job. A-M's dad is also in this one, looking as proud as punch. This is A-M welcoming us all and introducing the main players. This is The Cake. R was trying to do something Architectural (I think) with it. It actually kind of worked. I love a good frock shot. And a good frock! Adelaide is definitely OK!

Geeky science and unique bags and tees
Welcome to our hobby shop! We are a low volume, custom/handmade hobby shop specializing in geeky and artsy items (where science and art come together - turns out they are not so separate). Materials are selected based on a balance of Earth friendly and long lasting. What makes this shop different from the zillions of others on the internet: 1) most of our items are one of a kind/unique (OK, maybe weird) 2) we try to make our stuff washable with the possibility of a long life (making it worth the little e...
