Hiking in the Swiss Alps. July 11, 2002. In the morning I quickly transfered to a train to Interlaken, Switzerland. Unlike Basel, Interlaken is in an area of Switzerland surrounded by many tall mountains. More Australia Pictures: Sydney. After Fraser Island, we drove to Brisbane and took a flight to Sydney and arrived on July 27, staying until the 30th. Boundary Waters Canoe Area. I took my second of three camping BWCA trip after my junior year of college. We spent five days in the northern Minnesota wilderness. We entered at Snowbank Lake east of Ely. It was a pretty random mix of guys, which always makes for a good trip. Above from left: Len, me, Tony, Paul, Luke, Bo, and Matt. How do we know each other? More Australia Pictures: Cairns and the Rainforest. Cairns/Rainforest - Fraser Island 1. First of all, Cairns is pronounced kanz. We arrived on July 20 and stayed until July 24, though the first two full days we were on a SCUBA dive trip. Here is the view as we approach from the north to land. It looks amazing from the air. The rainforested mountains meeting the turquoise waters. Craig decided that he loved the place and wanted to move here even before he got off the airplane. Does that not look sketchy?
