If you're not outraged. You're not paying attention! Are you kidding me? November 18, 2008 9:44 PM. Some of you know that we both got new cars . One uses 92 octane super (and gets 40 mpg) and mine uses 89 octane bottom of the barrel (I get 25 mpg). Yesterday I fueled up and paid $2.47 a gallon (yay), it's been under $3.00 for some time now and under $2.50 for over a week. Today I drove by and almost crapped my pants! Gas went up to $3.39 a gallon. Are you kidding me? Work Work Work (8).
