By now it is no secret Kaitlyn loves anything to do with art. This has made me think back to my time working with preschool age children. I am so thankful I worked with wonderful teacher who had such amazing ideas. This is one of our favorites. Cups ( I used sauce cups). Food safe paint brushes ( you can find cheap ones in the cake décor section at Wal-Mart, Michael’s , Hobby Lobby, etc). Mix in food coloring until you reach the desired color. Now there are several ways to do this, but this is the way we chose to do for my daughter’s art party. She loved it so much we do often. It is so simple and easy to do and it is so much fun! Here is what you will need:. Bubble solution and bubble wands or straws. I used gel and liquid food coloring and both worked just as well. Pour a couple drops of food coloring into the container of bubble and then I shake it up. Once the foam on the bubbles settles you are ready to start creating.

Ice Cream in a Can (or bag). This was by far Kaitlyn’s favorite summer activity. We made ice cream in a #10 you can and even use a big ziplock bag. It was so easy and so much fun! A gallon size Freezer bag or a #10 can. Lot’s of ice. Rock salt or just plain old table salt. Half and half or Milk. Spoon and toppings if you want. 1 cup Half and half or Milk. 2 tablespoons of sugar. Start by adding about 3 cups of ice and 1 cup of salt to the #10 can or your Ziplock bag. Posted by Jacky Kincaid.

Thursday, August 13, 2015. Pete had been requesting dirt pudding for some time. They now sell a lunchable style packet that is dirt pudding, I couldn't handle paying a dollar for maybe a 1/4 of a cup of the stuff when I can make a whole batch for not much, plus the fun of cooking with Pete. The kids ended up covered in dirt and earned baths before bed. She is so excited. In Nora's defense Pete tried to help feed her. And Pete's after. I even got a nice smile from him! I rolled a blanket under her bum so she'd fit since she was still a bit small for it, instead of buying the infant insert, which was an extra $20 and has a reputation of being too hot for actually carrying the baby for any amount of time. Friday, February 6, 2015. We cloth diaper. I love it. We did some with Pete only while at home and not at night. With Nora I'm doing it all the time except at night because I haven't yet figured it out. I also started doing cloth wipes with her too. I never even thought of it with Pete, which sounds silly, but I didn't even know about the possibility! Lay one wipe half way on top of another like the above picture.. Fold the bottom wipe over the overlapping top wipe. Finished wipes ready to go to work!

Sunday, May 31, 2015. Pete and Nora on the Komodo dragon statue. We saw all of the animals just like we wanted and surprisingly both kids were in a decent mood the whole time. Nora ended up falling asleep in Australia but slept through it and all the way to the car and the way home! What a good little sleeper! Pete also fell asleep in the car on the way home. Pete in a shark in the new Australia. This little peacock came right next to me while I was rocking Nora. Brussels sprouts, bacon, garlic and onion.

Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Petes First Primary Program. The local fire department sponsors a safety fair every year, they been doing it since I was a kid. This year e were actually able to go and see what they had, which was a lot! They had zip lines,bucket truck rides, rescue boat rides, information booths with free stuff, the hospitals helicopter, a line up of the towns rescue vehicles, and antique fire trucks all for the kids to climb into and check out! Tuesday, August 11, 2015. The weather has been so nice for playing outside and getting all the energy out of the kids for better naps, and night sleep. Nora is still refusing to walk and ends up doing a bear crawl, especially in the grass. The water table has been one of the best presents, Pete still enjoys it and now Nora loves it too. My kids love cooling off in the frigid hose water. Nora bear crawling through the grass. Normal crawling is still faster. Both kids enjoying the shade and water table.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Today I worked Pete's spring preschool party. He goes to a cooperative preschool so I go in to work in the classroom about once a month and work two parties a year. He loves when it is our turn to work at the preschool. Last week I planned the party with a couple other moms at Starbucks, without the kiddos! I was in charge of a "bunny hop" game and picked up these super cute bunny ears. From Party City online with free shipping. Pete cheesing it up with his ears and Easter basket.

On the 2nd of each month we set aside $100 toward meeting a need that someone in the group may come in contact with. (one lady asked about $50 a month and that is fine – as long as the amount is consistent and for a year.) We stay in touch through a private Facebook page and we pray that God will lead us to a need we can meet in an extravagant way. What does that mean? What are the guidelines?
