Mushroom's-Blog: December 2013
http://mushroom-2005.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 17, 2013. I saw stars. My car’s horn blared then stopped. 8220;Turn of the engine! Turn off the engine! 8221; someone was yelling. “Are you alright? 8221; asked a man in his 20s. “Do you have insurance? 8220;Yes, I do,” I managed to say, as blood poured from my nose. A police officer stood next to the driver’s side door. “Can you unbuckle your seatbelt? 8220;Let me help you,” said the officer as he reached over me and undid the latch. “Is this your car? Can I see your license? Street, a...

Wednesday, January 22, 2014. The Curse of Nair. 8220;I’m not old enough to have a son who shaves,” she said. Her lips returned to their pout. I was thrilled that she noticed, even if she wasn’t happy with my fuzzy upper lip. I was glad that somebody else noticed. 8220;When can you or dad take me to the store to buy a razor? 8221; I asked with my eyes aglow. 8220;Come with me to the bathroom,” she said. Tubular container in her hand. “Sit down,” she said pointing to the toilet seat. 8221; I asked. That...

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. If I were you and you were me. If I were you and you were me. Would I like you and would you like me? Would we like what we'd see? Perhaps not, but then, maybe so! Would I love you or would I hate you? Would I praise you or condemn you? After a time, I do believe,. A different reality I would perceive. I would know you and I would love you. I would delight in who you are. For I would see that the totality of my experiences. Is what make me me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mushroom's-Blog: What If…
http://mushroom-2005.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-if.html
Thursday, May 07, 2015. I hate What Ifs. That question haunts me, taunts me,. Dragging tears down my face. And twisting my stomach into knots. All day long the What Ifs hound me. New ones wake me up at night. What if I had called? What if I had been there? What if, what if, what if…. The What Ifs are not levers. To a time machine that rectifies,. That deletes, that cheats death. What ifs can not, do not, will not. And yet, they march, uninvited. Into my day and linger long into the night.

Wednesday, November 13, 2013. 8220;Hurry, Jeremy,” Denise, his mother, yelled from the kitchen. “You’re breakfast is getting cold.”. Jeremy’s awareness swung from building to building on Spiderman’s web as his eyes jumped from one panel to the next in his comic book. He sat atop his loft bed. He heard his mother’s call. “Just one more page,” he whispered to himself as the aroma of bacon and eggs wafted up to his bed. 8220;Keep Orlando out of here! 8221; he yelled apologetically. “I spilt my mil...He cros...
