Dr Al-Malt was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He received his medical degree from Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine, Eygyt in 1975. His post-graduate training includes an internship at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
