Involved is a community project based in Broughton and headed up by Dave Fraser. One aspect of the work they are developing is a furniture project where they take rejected furniture and do it up. For this they are using old industrial premises on East Philip Street with the Biospheric Project based above them. The group listen to Dave.

We wanted to learn a bit about sports photography so we went to a crunch University match between Salford and MMU on the David Lewis Playing Field. Salford won 3-0. We learnt why sports photographers have such good, expensive equipment. It isn’t easy! What’s the ref seen? Free kick against Salford. Some of our group on the sideline.

We wandered we saw is a photo club group that meet at St Philip’s Church in Salford on a Wednesday afternoons at 1pm-3pm. We walk around the local area taking pictures and document the changes in Salford. We all have an interest in photography and work towards improving our techniques. Photos taken on 12th November 2014 of Peel Park as it was and then on 19th August 2015, showing the way some things have changed. There were some tree management works under way, which have now made quite a difference. The refurbished bridge looks great but Heritage Lottery Fund works haven’t started yet. We learned a lot on our drive from the airport to the hotel from our bus driver/tour guide who was really funny. He told us a lot about the history of Dublin pre and post rebellion.
