.: The Big Boy's Bedroom

http://www.cultivatinghome.com/2015/04/the-big-boys-bedroom.html

Saturday, April 18. The Big Boy's Bedroom. The older two boys share a bedroom which we made from two small bedrooms about five years ago. Life happened and it kind of lingered not-quite-done. The floor was painted a few years back and as hard as my boys play, I knew re-painting it was a hopeless cause. The boys hooked up the air compressor for me and Aiden kept me stocked with nails in the air nailer whenever I shouted that, "hey, I'm out of ammo! Home with some super glue and a Lego table was born.

http://www.cultivatinghome.com/2008/10/how-to-butcher-chicken-easy-way.html

Monday, October 6. How to Butcher a chicken ( the easy way). This is our third time and second year butchering chickens. A few months ago we butchered all the meat roosters which left us with nine hens to butcher. It takes us about twenty minutes to catch, butcher, pluck and bag a chicken. It took us much, much longer when we started. In our house this counts as being educational. Chicken anatomy and physiology or economics or home ec. Count the chicken heads and you've got math! Now there are two ways y...

BREWSTERS MILLIONS: Won't be long now...

http://brewsters-millions.blogspot.com/2015/04/wont-be-long-now.html

Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Won't be long now. Dad and I had a conference the other night and said "yes" to Lisette's roommate joining her when she moves in with us for the summer. She calls him a "fool" but we know he has been good company for her these past years. Besides, he'd most probably turn into a beast if she put him in storage. And if he misbehaves? Well We have a pool. And a firepit. He can choose his punishment. Welcome home again, soon, Lisette:). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Flannery O'...

BREWSTERS MILLIONS: Lost in the Cosmos, but found in London

http://brewsters-millions.blogspot.com/2008/11/lost-in-cosmos-but-found-in-london.html

Sunday, November 23, 2008. Lost in the Cosmos, but found in London. Dad, I can say this - Fantastic! I have not been introduced to a "sign" in quite some time. Strange. What Percy is explaining, in my case anyway, is happening in the present tense - because. Hope to see you all soon. Cheers from London. (that is Big Ben by the way). No, I am not waiting to see if people comment. Well. Just wanted to ask if someone could put this on the books list. I do not know how. Thanks. November 23, 2008 at 1:41 PM.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Our Anniversary in Solesmes. What a beautiful, sunny day! 160;It was Wednesday and we really did have our morning routines established.  Already I had learned to draw the kitchen curtain aside a bit so that Dad could use light from the kitchen door to navigate his way through my "bedroom" without stumbling against the table and chairs.  . Tuesday, July 24, 2007. BREWSTERS MILLIONS: All in a morning's work

http://brewsters-millions.blogspot.com/2015/04/all-in-mornings-work.html

Saturday, April 18, 2015. All in a morning's work. She's getting ready to move. She's packing. She's rattled. I get it. So this morning she heads over to her local Salvation Army to donate a bag of clothes. She's told, by the man overseeing donations, that "We don't take trash.". She checks her bag. It is, indeed, trash. Now she understands why her car is smelly and has been for some time now. She tries to gracefully walk away. He tells her, "Your pants are inside out.". No they aren't," she shoots back.
