I mean, really, who am I kidding? Is angst. Somehow, for some reason, the Gods decreed that I should never quite progress beyond the world of a thirteen-year-old in some small ways. Do you like how I completely avoid taking any responsibility for it myself: "the gods", pretty slick, huh? Namely that it is All About ME.

Today and her latest posting is a list of some of her favorite things, beginning with the sound of her teakettle. Oddly enough that got me thinking about one of my favorite sounds in the whole world, something I doubt many have noticed and that probably can't be found anymore. GE Twinkle Bright Christmas tree lights. Yes, tree lights! Scoff if you will but it's true. Quote of the moment.
