Denmark: the island of Møn | a curious misadventure

https://curiousmisadventure.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/denmark-the-island-of-mon

Denmark: the island of Møn. The road to Stege, the largest town on the island. Møn is, or ice cream, is made daily from cows just down the road. Fresh, creamy, and delicious. The logo is the island. clever Danes. Quiet streets in Stege. We stayed at a little bed and breakfast on the southwest side of the island called Tohøjgaard. The bunny logo was fitting, they were everywhere. Best view in the house. Christine, our charming hostess. Elmelunde church. The first stop for our family search. The last churc...

Who’s confused what this school program is all about? Me too. Here’s the gist:. MBA in Health Care and Hospital administration, 18 month program concluding in April 2012. Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Frankfurt, Germany. 10 “modules” of study in various locations around the world to examine the public and private health sectors. In between modules coursework is done remotely. 21 classmates, all from different countries. Many are doctors, all have experience in the industry. France: Paris ...

Sweden: On the Road | a curious misadventure

https://curiousmisadventure.wordpress.com/2013/06/15/sweden-on-the-road

Sweden: On the Road. Our Swedish quest was primarily a search for ancestors, and we spent most of our time perusing churches and graveyards in hamlets throughout the countryside. Along the way we did stop for some castles, and brief stints in Stockholm and Göteborg. Before we inundate you with dozens of pictures of parish churches and headstones, here are some of our other favorites from the journey:. And yes, that’s our fine chariot in the background. Navigator. Where would you like to go? We found this...

C & M: Lisboa...San Francisco's Doppelganger

http://chrisandmichelleskinner.blogspot.com/2012/04/liboasan-franciscos-doppelganger.html

Sunday, April 15, 2012. Lisboa.San Francisco's Doppelganger. One of our favorite bits. From the TV show How I Met Your Mother features each cast member stumbling upon their lookalike in the city, and we had a similar experience while visiting Lisbon Portugal. Lisbon is the beautiful capital city of Portugal and was the first stop on our anniversary trip. Lisbon has colorful houses just like San Francisco. Lisbon is a coastal city that sits on multiple hills just like San Francisco. Salt Lake City 2011.

Thursday, June 7, 2012. Here's looking at you kid".a Moroccan adventure! Morocco has long been on our list of places to visit. There is a certain mystique found in this predominantly Muslim country in Africa with a rich, royal history. The country boasts a diverse landscape and a humble people. The colors are bright, the smells are industrial, and the sounds of prayers are penetrating. Although we had a few unfortunate moments, Morocco was an unforgettable experience. As my mother, you have been the perfect example of charity and sacrifice. I never questioned your love for me and am now learning more of the depths of that love. You are not only my mother, you are my friend. You loved, nurtured, and cultured me and allowed me to grow into the person that I am now. I am so grateful for you. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. What we have been up to. Well I did it! In June I graduated from UCSF with my Masters of Nursing as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. It was so wonderful to have family out to celebrate with us. We loved paddling around our city, eating at a few favorite restaurants, and chatting in our apartment. It meant so much to have my parents and Chris's family out for the big day and definitely made it special. Thank you everyone for coming! We can't wait for your next visit.

I have always been intrigued by the pull that sports has on our lives, but when does it pull too much? There is a reason they call it the "beautiful game"! This quotation is from the book. So tell me, when have sports overtaken your life? What are you now doing differently, or will you go on this way forever? Salt Lake City 2011.

Saturday, September 24, 2011. Michelle and I took another step into adulthood by venturing on our first cruise. We headed to the Mediterranean in search of sun, relaxation, food, and culture. We were most excited about the opportunity to see parts of Italy, France, and Spain all in one trip without the typically high cost of traveling to each country separately. Come along for the ride. DAY 1: CINQUE TERRE,. Via del Amore aka Lover's Lane. DAY 2: CANNES, FRANCE. Finding home away from home. Corsica is a ...

Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Had it really been a year since our last trip? The treadmill of life often moves much faster than one can run. We found solace in the relaxing canals of Northwestern Europe. Our first stop was the fabled Amsterdam. Named for its location on the Amstel river that was dammed to curb flooding from the high tides of the sea. We were surprised at how quiet this "rowdy" city actually was. Beauty, culture, history, art, stroopwafels.Amsterdam is a must see! A brick based LDS Temple with...
