I can’t believe how fast the time has gone and how big is getting already. I’m going to post some highlights/thoughts about his first six weeks of life and my first six weeks of mommyhood. Then I’m going to ask Curtis to do the same thing…so here we go (in no particular order! Cohen is already over 12 lbs. He’s a chunk! He has been sleeping from 9:00/10:00 pm until 4:00/4:30 am, a...

I really can’t believe that it’s been seven months. Cohen is SUCH a huge part of our lives now, that it’s hard to imagine life without him or to remember life before him! Seeing some glimmers of light at the end of what has felt like a really long tunnel on some days. He’s also still in school, so he is staying busy! Most of it is ...

The Seventh Day – An Almost Disaster. January 22, 2011 at 7:54 pm ( Uncategorized. Today has been a good day. I made it to the gym, which will hopefully keep my indulgence from making. Much of an impact! And another good thing happened too! I almost ruined dinner. Sounds good, right? Delicious, adaptable, fun dish that I’ve made in awhile. Curtis loved it. Cohen loved it. I loved it. And you will love it too! This is definitely one to try, and I would love to hear feedback when you do! 1/2 lb ground beef.

The Hardest Part | Project Seventh Day
https://projectseventhday.wordpress.com/2011/01/12/the-hardest-part
January 12, 2011 at 8:38 pm ( Exercise. So far in my little project, the most difficult part has been the whole exercise thing. I’m going to be honest. I don’t like working out. I am not an athlete. And I would pretty much rather do. Than run. The goal is to make it to the gym at least 3 days a week, and to do something – anything – active every day. Today is Wednesday and so far I’ve been to the gym once, been on a good long walk once, and totally failed to meet the goal once. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A Few Days Late – A Desert Recipe. February 2, 2011 at 10:33 am ( Uncategorized. Sorry for the delayed post. This weekend we had dinner with friends, but I made some delicious brownies for desert. These were the best brownies ever. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1 cup white sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. Here’...

And So It Begins. January 9, 2011 at 9:44 pm ( General. Welcome to Project Seventh Day. I’m glad you’re reading this blog, but right up front I have a confession to make. It’s not for you. Sorry. To begin, let me explain how this whole thing came about. 2010 was a crappy year. There’s really no other way to put that. Aside from the birth of my beautiful son ( which was a challenge in and of itself! But even the silly goals have a purpose in Project Seventh Day. Over the holidays, my family and I were spe...

Wednesday, March 27, 2013. There have been few times since we moved to The Woodlands area that I have truly *wished* we lived closer to family. I enjoy and thrive on doing things "on my own.". 3 PM, I get a call from daycare, Addie's running fever. 4 PM I start my period. 4:30 PM I check bank account, someone's stolen my identity. ALL afternoon, Rhett whining about EVERYTHING. Why bei...
