Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: January 2012
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. I Couldn't Listen to the State of the Union Speech. I said couldn't as opposed to didn't. Why couldn't I listen to the State of the Union speech? Because I could not tolerate hearing even one more lie. Most of all I could not tolerate listening to all the lies while knowing that there would be people all over the country that were believing this garbage. Have you ever seen the movie Idiocracy? If not, go find it and watch it. It's us. I've never rea...

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: January 2011
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Friday, January 14, 2011. Christina Green was buried yesterday. She was born 9/11/2001. She and five others died at the hands of Jarred Loughner on 1/8/2011. It has been a tragedy. Could it have been avoided? Perhaps. Can such tragedies always be avoided or prevented? The only way to be perfectly safe in this world is to live in a box, do nothing, say nothing, experience nothing and interact with no one. Sounds like being dead, doesn’t it? No Did it ever occur to them that so...

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: I get tired of ignorance
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2013/01/i-get-tired-of-ignorance.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Sunday, January 27, 2013. I get tired of ignorance. I get tired of ignorance. It leads to a lot of damage that could be avoided. Ignorance is not being dumb, stupid, or lacking intelligence. It is being uninformed through your own actions or inactions. This too often leads to making claims, decisions, or professing things which simply make no sense in the final analysis. The rational or non-criminal person knows this is a bad idea and would not set about to do this. Why?

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: February 2012
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Sunday, February 12, 2012. Conservatism and Religous Fundamentalism. People confuse and interchange these two "isims" regularly. It's not just Liberals who do it either. Conservative and Religious Fundamentalists are also guilty. I've thought about this a lot, and its not completely clear just exactly how Religious Fundamentalism became so bound to Conservatism. Religious Fundamentalism has at its core the idea that there is some basic religious truth which is known only to a...

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: December 2010
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Sunday, December 26, 2010. The real purpose of airline security. Recently in tests of airport security some airports had a 70 percent failure rate. Napolitano dismisses this indicating that many of the tests were old and out of date and that there were other problems with them. Think about this for a second. Any tests that reveals a deficiency is a successful test of a faulty system. Tests that are restricted in ways to only show how good a system is are useless. Fifteen of t...

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: It's Been a Long Time
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2014/08/its-been-long-time.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Saturday, August 16, 2014. It's Been a Long Time. Well, it hasn't been quite a year, but almost. Some things have gone OK and some have not. I am still here, so that's something. Mostly I have been over at the Antique Radio Forums http:/ antiqueradios.com/forums/index.php. Well maybe it's not. The world may be going to hell in a hand basket, but I don't have to wreck my whole life over it. I have the power to choose what I do about it. In the mean time I am looking forward to...

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: New Truck
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2016/07/new-truck.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Monday, July 25, 2016. I got a new truck a couple of months ago. As a result I find that I am focused on getting the best possible mileage out of it while monitoring the mileage indicator display on the dash. This has become almost an obsession. With my new truck, a 2016 Chevy Colorado, I am getting a pretty consistent 25 MPG under the same driving conditions and have even gotten as much as 26 and 27 MPG over intervals of as much as 50 miles. Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: December 2011
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Friday, December 23, 2011. I have not posted anything in a long time. There are a few reasons for this. One is that I figure no one cares what I have to say. I was just saying it to get it off my mind. Another was having more of a focus on things transpiring within our immediate family. A third thing was a matter of just wondering why I should bother. Well, here I am. Some of the questions and concerns remain unanswered and will probably stay that way. Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Curtis Eickerman's Thoughts: They can't all be right but they can all be wrong
http://eickerman.blogspot.com/2016/07/they-cant-all-be-right-but-they-can-all.html
Curtis Eickerman's Web Site. Saturday, July 16, 2016. They can't all be right but they can all be wrong. It's been an even longer time since my last post, but I just had to get something out of my system. In recent days with all the killings that are taking place due to religious ideals and beliefs, I am struck by the ultimate hypocrisy of the adherents to these various religions. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I've been on the internet in a public capacity since the early '90s. So if you want t...
