The Netherlands is a cycling paradise. It seems that you can go just about anywhere by bike and almost never have to use a road. When we arrived in Amsterdam in early August it was bustling with tourists and most camping grounds were bursting at the seams. This was also true for the majority of coastal camps we stopped at.

Our route from Salzburg to Passau follows the Salzach River to the Inn River which then joins the Donau/Danube River. It´s great to get back on cruisy cycle routes and not to worry about traffic. Days 109-111: Coast to Coast - Kalamata to Gythio via Kardamyli. From Kalamata we headed south down the coast and then over the hills to Gythio. En route we passed through Kardamyli, an idyllic pelopennese village. We fell in love with Kardamyli, it is quite an unspoilt (untouristed) part of Greece. Carl, Sandy and Abby Penwarden.
