Among the symptoms that I have both while hyperglycemic and hypoglycemic are thirst and dehydration, particularly dehydration when waking up (when I've been high or low for a while without drinking because I've been asleep). School got hectic during exams and I just zoned out of the blogging atmosphere. My mom, who I swear will get a podcast up soon, and myself are leaving for Rome to go visit my Charlie for a week. If you wander around the forums on Diabetes Daily, you will find plenty of references to the diabetic "honeymoon" period. I'm not refering to that physical honeymoon, but rather, to an emotional honeymoon. I'm guessing most people diagnosed with some kind of serious health issue go through emotional stages. For me, it went kind of like this:. Shock, wow, I am diabetic? Followed by fear, I am diabetic? How do I control this?
