I took her to my vet and she was diagnosed with anaplasmosis. (a tick borne illness) She tested a "faint positive" right at the end of the testing window. The vet prescribed antibiotics and said that Dixie should feel better in a few days. I took her home and passed on the information to my family and close friends. I cried for a long time.

Friday, April 23, 2010. Yikes It's April already. And not just April. the end of April quickly approaching May. Seriously, where does the time go? This photo is from our spring vacation up north in March. The weather (even on the Canadian border) was unseasonably warm and Dixie (and I) had a wonderful time.
