July 14, 2013. How does one define success? Looking forward to my upcoming 25th birthday next month, I am examining my own definitions. Is my success defined by what I look like? Maybe at times. How about by what degrees I have or don’t have? Although I have many ways of looking at success from this superficial level (and boy, I have perfected that), I am regaining my sight of success from God’s view. What is God’s view of success? I have an inkling that it is something deeper than I could ever define.

March 19, 2013. The rain pours down today as if God is sharing in our pain. Today’s loss has been difficult for all of us at Entoto. I am realizing only now how fragile life is, especially a life with HIV. What could hurt us for a few days can be deadly for our women. Last week, she was not responding at all, being fed by an IV.
