Tuesday, June 29. Siding, Father's Day, and Imax! In the last few weeks, Scott has been working on getting the siding up on our house - what a big job! There is a lot of work involved, seeing as our house has so many jut-outs, corners, and windows! Thankfully, my dad has been able to come and help Scott much of the time, and even his brothers have been over once or twice. It's slow going though - all of the cutting and nailing up trim pieces seems to take a while! She was fascinated by the informational ...

Thursday, September 6. I can't believe that two years of my little baby's life have gone by already! It has just been a blur. Hayden Xavier you are just such a ray of sunshine in my life! And your silly little pout - you usually forget what you were pouting about before long. I love watching you play digger, baler, and semi for hours and how you like to play just how daddy works when we go visit him on the field. Your excitement over everything on wheels is contagious! Links to this post. And so it goes.

Tuesday, May 25. Finally I'm posting the last of the birthday party pictures! Here are the ones from Oliver's celebrations. We ended up celebrating his birthday along with mother's day so that everyone from our families could be there. I still made him a special cake though, because I can never resist a good excuse to make a cake! The four of us - so happy together, though Kalia has a bit of a silly face :). Man, did Oliver LOVE this cake! AND Digger on there? Are all of these big presents for me? Scott'...

Thursday, April 15. This past Sunday, my family came over for a little housewarming party for us, combined with my sister Cristina's birthday. It was my first time 'entertaining' in the new house (though my mom brought all of the food! And I really enjoyed it! It was like Christmas with all of the gifts for our new home! My parents gave us a gorgeous mirror-top table from Urban Barn for the entrance as well as a painting for each of the kids' rooms! They must be in a yet-to-be-unpacked box. Dad rolled up...

Friday, July 31. So as fun as our week of holidays at the cottage were, it was super disappointing to have 3 straight days of rain! We made the best of it though, and luckily didn't drive each other too crazy. Here are some of the pictures of how we filled our time. With a break in the clouds we headed out for a boat ride only to be pelted by rain as we sailed accross the lake! We all took cover best we could under towels. Mom and Cristina hiding out. Everyone tried, even my parents! Olly loving his turn!

Saturday, July 14. He's not mad at you. His grace is greater still,. Than all of your wrong choices. He is full of mercy and he is ever kind. Hear his invitation, His arms are open wide. You can come as you are,. With all your broken pieces. And all your shameful scars. The pain you hold in your heart,. Bring it all to Jesus. You can come as you are. Louder than the voice that whispers your unworthy. Hear the sound of love,. That tells a different story. How tenderly he calls you,. His arms are open wide.

Monday, June 18. How Big is a Fig? That is the question I was asking myself today. Not an easy question if you have never actually held a fig in your hand before. A Fig Newton? Yes But the actual fruit . . . not so much. Why do I even care, you ask? Everywhere I look, they tell me that my uterus is the size of a melon and my baby (yes, I said it! Is the size of a fig. Which leads me to a second question - what's with the comparison of my organs and tiny little child to fresh produce anyway? I feel excite...

Tuesday, February 5. Samuels Whirlwind Birth Story. Thursday, January 3rd was my due date. It came and went, and I was more than a little discouraged. I had really hoped (foolishly, I admit) that this baby would come on time or be early. Pregnancy and my body do not mesh, and so at the end every day felt like an eternity! But this baby wanted to come on his own time! Packed up the kids, and we drove to my Mom's. Make sure you call me as soon as the baby is born to tell me all about it! I opted to stay in...
