DaveF's MD400 Blog: September 2009

http://davefmd400.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. I won't regurgitate the definition of inquiry learning, but in essence, the traditional model teaches kids "what we know". Inquiry learning gives the students themselves the tools to learn how to answer their own questions. It is a way to engage students, and to teach them the skills they will need to continue to educate themselves long after high school and college are behind them. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Since I haven't figured out how to incorporate a comment featur...

DaveF's MD400 Blog: Er, NETS Standard, take 2!

http://davefmd400.blogspot.com/2009/09/er-nets-standard-take-2.html

Thursday, September 17, 2009. Er, NETS Standard, take 2! With that in mind, I revisited the NETS standard for Teachers. How to teach my courses? Then, I would be free to use whatever teaching materials I want! How should my course be structured to help them teach their students? What sorts of skills will they need to develop and exhibit to be effective educators themselves? The NETS standard for Teachers seems like a perfect place to start answering those questions. DaveF's MD400 Blog: NETS Standard

http://davefmd400.blogspot.com/2009/09/nets-standard.html

Tuesday, September 15, 2009. After much deliberation, I have decided that I will be focusing on the NETS Standard for Technology Facilitators. September 24, 2009 at 7:36 AM. Please dont feel limited to the NETS, if you have your own standard or training goal you would like to focus on this semester, you are welcome to do that; most people find it helpful to have a chosen focus as a target for assignments. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Er, NETS Standard, take 2! Response to Dangerously Irrelevant.

Artist and Painter

8220;In painting still lifes. There is an importance in trying to understand time. I am a painter and writer born in the States, married to Annette and living and working in Bray, County Wicklow, in the Republic of Ireland. This is a particularly beautiful area to live, near forests, mountains and the sea; ideal for landscapes and seascapes. This land and people are also influenced by a strong creative and spiritual presence. It’s a privilege to be practicing my art here. I am convinced that the more we ...

Aviation Social Media David Allen Digital Media New Media Networking. One Week Until Haiti. June 30, 2012. Can you believe it? Only one week to go! That’s right, I leave for Haiti with a short-term mission team from my church this coming Saturday morning. This time next week, I will be laying my head on a pillow in Port-au-Prince for the night.
