David Bottomley's Blog: We are a Republic
http://blog.david.bottomley.us/2013/04/we-are-republic.html
Welcome to my world. Thursday, April 4, 2013. We are a Republic. Conversely, a republic is a government in which the individual person, not the group, retains sovereignty, and individual rights. In other words, individuals have rights that cannot be trampled by the majority, and in a republic, the rule of law, in our case as defined by our Constitution, reigns supreme- not. The Bill of Rights (see below) which recognize the inalienable God-given rights of individuals. If that fails, we have:. Unfortunate...

David Bottomley's Blog: Colonialism and Imperialism
http://blog.david.bottomley.us/2012/09/colonialism-and-imperialism.html
Welcome to my world. Sunday, September 9, 2012. Establishment of a uniform rule of law and contracts, which protected individual rights and property, allowing economic progress in areas of the world that had never known such stability. Many areas governed by the British were rife with infighting and tribalism, and never rose to the point where they could accomplish great things. The British changed this for many areas of the world today by providing order and stability. As mercantilism went by the waysid...

David Bottomley's Blog: Freedom in the Workplace
http://blog.david.bottomley.us/2011/10/freedom-in-workplace.html
Welcome to my world. Monday, October 24, 2011. Freedom in the Workplace. Intelligent productive employees are more than capable of delivering what is expected of them and more to their employer. Those employees, who are not. Performing however, should be disciplined and perhaps terminated. The key is to use job performance as the only. Metric. Everything else is, and should be. Irrelevant. Who cares if an employee pays their bills online at work? That should not matter as long as the employee is performi...

http://blog.david.bottomley.us/2011/11/liberal-fascism.html
Welcome to my world. Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Do in the eyes of modern conservatives. Hey generally do not believe in private ownership, preferring a collective state ownership of the means of production, or if not overt state ownership, at least. Over the means of production as well as 'critical' industries like banking, healthcare, etc. Nationalist often reaching the point of statolatry, or worship of the state. Indoctrination of the citizenry through propaganda, censorship, education, etc. Oppositi...

David Bottomley's Blog: The Next Big Thing(s)
http://blog.david.bottomley.us/2012/05/next-big-things.html
Welcome to my world. Friday, May 25, 2012. The Next Big Thing(s). I used to own a Magellan GPS receiver, and I wondered why I needed to use that in conjunction with a magnetic compass and a physical map. Why can't the GPS project my location onto a map, and determine direction via an internal compass? Why can't we use a wireless system to keep that map updated? Why can't I communicate my location in real-time over a radio network to others? Why can't I send and receive emails over that system as well?

David Bottomley's Blog: Prepare...
http://blog.david.bottomley.us/2014/10/prepare.html
Welcome to my world. Sunday, October 5, 2014. Invested the time and money to prepare to have excess resources for you and your family. If you try to take resources from those who have prepared, you will no doubt encounter deadly resistance. Remember the childhood fable of the ant and the grasshopper. This is a very real threat to which we have virtually no counter. On the natural / CME front, the Carrington Event. For example, for food, you hopefully. The same goes for water- what happens when utility wa...
