Saturday, February 13, 2010. We were giddy from the beginning, because our spouses thought we were total weirdos.and oddly enough we both seem to feed off of that. (And that, my friends, is a dangerous combo.). As we approach the salon, we are a little taken back by what we see. It is located right in the middle. Of the terminal. There are no walls surrounding it. In their place is a chainlink fence surrounding about half a dozen salon chairs. It is straight-up ghetto. Looks like a prison barber shop.

Not because of how beautiful Bree was or how sweet the ceremony was. Although both were very true). Nope, it is forever etched in my mind because it was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life. I tell people it was my “Write-in to Glamour magazine horror story”. We parked the Mini in Duluth and I hopped in his back seat for the rest of the ride.

We knew we couldn't visit San Diego and not hit up the zoo (click the picture above to visit the zoo website). The zoo was HUGE! We only saw a fraction of what there is to see. Its definitely a place you'd have to visit several times to see everything. But, we only had an afternoon, so here is what we saw! The Kolas were our favorite. They really do look cuddly! Some sort of kangaroo relative. Beware of the lion!
