Lessons learned from our time with BRAC | Man In Black
https://davidsahr.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/121
A male's perspective in a female-dominated PRoffesion. Lessons learned from our time with BRAC. Rewind to my first day inside of Dr. Jensen Moore’s. I was nervous, a little confused, and feeling blindsided by the amount of work in store for the semester. I was too busy gawking at the never-ending syllabus to even understand exactly what a service-learning course entailed. MC 4001 has been a crash course of the top ten competencies employers look for in applicants. ( Korn/Ferry. 8211; Lominger model).

A male's perspective in a female-dominated PRoffesion. BRAC and Bengal exemplify ethical and professional standards of the PR industry. With only one full semester left, I can say that I have had my fair share of interesting classes at LSU. But, to date, I would have to say that one of my favorite courses was media ethics. What is the line between being objective and passive in violent situations? Should the public be informed on every issue? We’d debate questions like these for days. Are enforced. I...

A male's perspective in a female-dominated PRoffesion. Service-learning with BRAC provides new outlook on PR. Public relations wasn’t my first choice. I came to LSU determined to be the world’s leading constitutional lawyer. I wanted to be the voice of the people, fighting for human rights. I wanted to be like a clever, equally handsome Denzel Washington in Philadelphia,. The only TV characters I could dream of being were the girls of The Hills. And as great as dramatic brunches and Visine tears. From th...

Confessions of a PR student. Learning public relations one step at a time. BRAC prepares me for PR in the real world. Service-learning has been a great experience this semester.
