Echibeckia Update | David's Garden Diary
https://davidsgardendiary.wordpress.com/2016/11/08/echibeckia-update
David's Garden Diary. The Cottage Garden Society – Cotswold Group. Skip to primary content. November 8, 2016. The Echibeckia Summerina ‘Yellow’ was a big surprise this year. The plants from Hayloft survived the winter in pots plunged up to their necks in a raised bed but looked dead until April when a few small green shoots appeared. I dug them up and transferred them to the greenhouse where they took off! By early May they were ready to plant out and with a dressing of bonemeal they romped away. Glad to...
Compost Overload | David's Garden Diary

David's Garden Diary. The Cottage Garden Society – Cotswold Group. Skip to primary content. November 15, 2016. One of the big problems and opportunities of growing herbaceous perennials is the amount of material you need to cut down at this time of year. Problem because I only have 3 compost bins which are now full to overflowing. Opportunity because once it is shredded and left for a year or so I will have more wonderful compost to add to the borders. This entry was posted in Compost Matters.

David's Garden Diary. The Cottage Garden Society – Cotswold Group. Skip to primary content. November 8, 2016. The first hard frost has intensified the autumn colours and the Liquidamber ‘Worplesdon’ is spectacular today. The dahlias are blackened and will be mush by tomorrow. The climbing fuchsia ‘Lady Boothby’ is now five years old and going strong, shrugging off the cold and continuing to flower well. This entry was posted in frost. My Garden This Week. David's Garden Diary. The Cottage Garden Society – Cotswold Group. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. March 12, 2017. All around the garden the green shoots of spring are appearing. Time to get the slug pellets down before the Delphiniums get munched! They revel in the damp conditions and enjoy the annual mulch of mushroom compost. I was delighted to find it transplants so well, hardly any check to its growth since being moved in December. Tulips in mid-March, is that a record? 8216;Mari...

Architecture. Abstract lines. Masdar City. | Claudia Curici Photography

Exploring my passion for photography. She moves. Photographing athletes. Architecture. Abstract lines. Masdar City. In the staircase the light was very low, so I had to increase my ISO very high (I didn’t have a tripod and it would have been of no use anyway since the angle I had to hold the camera to take these pictures was not an easy one). The grain doesn’t really bother me, I think it rather complements the beautiful lines. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. August 10, 2014. Cu pasi...
