Jaime Morrow: What's Up Wednesday
http://www.jaime-morrow.com/p/whats-up-wednesday.html
Chapter A Day Classics. My Giant TBR Pile. Here are the headings:. WHAT I'M WRITING ( A WRITING GOAL)*. WHAT WORKS FOR ME*. WHAT ELSE IS NEW. We have a new addition to the WRITING section of WUW: goal-setting. By including one. Related goal each week, we're hoping to up the ante on the accountability front. Your writing goal can be whatever you want it to be, not just relating to word count. (Though, if that works for you, great! Short, sweet, and focused is the idea here. Happy goal-setting! This is per...

And then she was like blah blah blah: May 2015
http://andthenshewaslikeblahblahblah.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
And then she was like blah blah blah. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. I am in the middle of drafting a new project, and (as is my custom) I've gotten a bit stuck sorting out the stakes for my characters. So I've turned to reading, which usually helps unlock the creative side of my brain. Here's what I've been reading this weekend:. 1 The Sky Is Everywhere. I read this while visiting my friend's cabin at Fish Lake. The others went off to hike at Bryce and I stayed behind to read and write (I love Bryce, but ...

And then she was like blah blah blah: the best date
http://andthenshewaslikeblahblahblah.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-best-date.html
And then she was like blah blah blah. Saturday, May 16, 2015. Last week, Gentleman Caller came over to make me dinner. We realized, though, that his recipe was going to take an hour and a half, so we put all of his groceries in the fridge and walked up to the Middle Eastern restaurant by my house. It was raining so we crowded under one umbrella. We went back to my house and watched World War Z. With Spencer on the couch. Oh, and one other thing. So that was the best date ever. And then she was like blah blah blah. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. This is the biggest favor I have ever asked you guys (even bigger than the time I asked you to "like me" on Facebook, and may we all pretend that never happened, ok? I read this book in junior high (possibly elementary school) and I LOVED it. So much. I read it and re-read it. It was probably the first paranormal book I ever read, and to-date, it was probably the best. Never specified). Her mother objects to this plan. An aunt and un...Prett...

And then she was like blah blah blah: September 2014
http://andthenshewaslikeblahblahblah.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
And then she was like blah blah blah. Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Is there any better feeling than realizing you're too old for some nonsense? I've always been a people-pleaser by nature. Not only do I want people to like me, but I REALLY want people in positions of (perceived or real) authority to realize I am following their rules. Because of that, I've always been a good employee. A good volunteer. A good team-player. I didn't want to do any of it. If I couldn't support how it was being done. But 30 ...

A peek into my crazy mind as I tackle the world of writing. Thursday, July 21, 2011. Green Eggs and Hamming it. Maybe the point of Green Eggs and Ham wasn't about trying new things. Maybe the point was that we shouldn't cave or conform to the "Sam I A m's. In our life. Maybe.but where would be the fun in that? Small Town Shelly Brown. July 21, 2011 at 9:32 PM. whimsical writing: Why Write?
http://whimsicalwriting.blogspot.com/2011/08/why-write.html
A peek into my crazy mind as I tackle the world of writing. Monday, August 22, 2011. First, a shout out to David Powers King. A truly awesome person! He posted some awards for me on his blog. If you haven't checked him out, do it. He is working on some pretty amazing stuff. Now on to my post . . . It reared its ugly head again, in the sixth grade, when my parents brought my dark poetry into question (clearly I had issues). Into the literary side of things. So here I sit, years later, my impractical degre...

whimsical writing: Forever in Blue Jeans
http://whimsicalwriting.blogspot.com/2011/07/forever-in-blue-jeans.html
A peek into my crazy mind as I tackle the world of writing. Friday, July 22, 2011. Forever in Blue Jeans. I seem to be lost in a Friday Fog. There's just something about the weekend that makes it impossible to focus. As I was sitting here not writing chapter 6 of my novel, I started thinking about music, and who should pop into my mind, but The Jazz Singer himself, Neil Diamond. The song was none other than Coming to America. Previous to that day, I had been on the fence about Neil Diamond. My pa...That ...
