On the other side of 40. Saturday, November 15, 2008. Politics and Autism Therapy. Politics and Autism Therapy. I have a hypothetical question. In an election year, where both. Sides of the aisle are reaching out to us like never before, do we reach back. Is it fiscally responsible of us to rely on government to “fix” autism? Should we allow “big brother” to step in and dictate mandates on autism therapy. Ten years ago, my only thought about autism was Rain Man or Savant Syndrome. Talking at 5 months.

On the other side of 40. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Our house used to be pretty quiet at night. You have to figure. My husband Trey is 43. As am I. Our boys (when they aren't fighting about the playroom), do their own thing. Watch TV. Read. It started simply enough. Santa brought the boys a Wii. That's why the boys fight over the playroom. Then our youngest, Dylan, had to have a Nintendo DS. All of his friends had one. They play Pokemon constantly! Who started the insanity? We are totally out of control!
