O Wind, if Winter comes, can Spring be far behind? Tuesday, 14 October 2014. The cottage year is winding down. Thanksgiving usually marks the last full weekend at the lake for everyone. Most of us shut down the water and close our places up soon after. Iain enjoying the sunset while barbecuing dinner. We were blessed with warm weather and no rain (none of the s-word, either). Sheila came to visit! It was nice to have company for the weekend! Mom enjoys sitting in the sun with a magazine or puzzle book.

We’ve been staying inside lots, recovering from various ailments (colds, infections). It’s so nice to finally have birds at the feeder. They have really enjoyed eating the Scott’s Wild Finch and Small Songbird mix. Seriously, this stuff is the best. It’s expensive, but it doesn’t go to waste. We’ve had Goldfinches,. Jack of All Tirades. Monday, February 18, 2008. Well, the work in the shop is progressing - thanks to a bad cold, not quite as quickly as I would have hoped. The strips have been going on nicely, but to get a nice colour balance at the bottom, I've had to play around with some of the strips. Nothing major, but I had to use a couple of old strips to get a nice solid dark cedar in the middle of the canoe. The alternative would have been an inconsistent light/dark blend which I wasn't crazy about.

To participate in the 3rd annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk. Which was MY 2nd annual. The Ottawa walk was lead by my wonderful friend Justin. The point of the day is to meet other people interested in photography. And to walk around for a while, taking whatever pictures you want. I am playing outside at.

O Wind, if Winter comes, can Spring be far behind? Monday, 17 July 2017. Joggins is a UNESCO site because of the large numbers of fossils found there. I'm not very scientific, so to me it was mainly a big beach of rocks. However, I really, really like rocks, so I was very happy to go there! The views were gorgeous, despite the day being rather cloudy. We didn't have a guide or any posted information, so my guess is that this orange stain was caused by iron deposits. So is my sweetie!
