Our Ohana: February 2014
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 17, 2014. We don't usually celebrate Valentines Day, but it can be fun. Both of the kids' grandpas always remember to send special treats in the mail for holidays like this! At least someone is making sure the kids feel special for this day haha. We don't do Valentines gifts, but Ryan surprised me with a funny one! But I guess I can see the appeal of having a holiday to kindle the romance and renew special promises:. Posted by Our Ohana. Monday, February 10, 2014. The first week of schoo...

Our Ohana: March 2014
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2014. Ryan was being a cute dad and bought this bird feeder and some seed to put in our front yard with the girls. They were delighted to see that it brought so many gorgeous Rosellas! They were so shy, I had to take this from the car. They wouldn't let me come close when I was on foot. I love it when my sweet kids all cuddle each other! One rainy Sunday, I wanted to go for a bush walk and invited the family to join. Only two takers! I love these munchkins. The year 6s at the school hel...

Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Boy's trip to New Zealand. Ryan and 2 of his friends got to go on a week-long trip to the beautiful country of New Zealand! Yes, I was super jealous, but hopefully we'll still get to go as a family sometime before we move away from this part of the world. They stayed mostly around the area of Queenstown, which is right up in the mountains on the Southern Island. Here are some of the photos he got of this gorgeous place! Their view from the balcony. Ready to go zip lining!

Our Ohana: December 2013
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 28, 2013. More fun outings with the grandparents. Still so many fun outings during Deena and Kelly's visit to talk about! We went to the National Library to see the amazing map exhibition there. It also has a great collection from Captain Cook's explorations. Guess who's kids always end up playing in the fountain? Sweet smiles with their grandparents! One day, we took them out of the city to a gorgeous little country restaurant called Poacher's Pantry. Soo yummy. We'll call it a draw.

Our Ohana: July 2013
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. During the last couple of sea days, Ryan took the kids around to take photos of some of their favorite spots on the ship. We did the fancy restaurant for breakfast once, but we preferred the self serve for our morning meal. The kids loved being able to see down several flights through the glass floor. One of the pools. On the way to our room. Casino - looks a little tacky, but we did spend a little time at the blackjack table one evening just for fun and I won $50! Posted by Our O...

Our Ohana: January 2014
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 31, 2014. We got to spend a couple of wonderful days in Sydney with Deena and Kelly before they left to return to the states. What a wonderful summer they gave us! And I can honestly say that it wasn't too long of a visit; they could have stayed so much longer and we would have loved every bit of it! Ready for a beach walk! Stopping for a fun break along the way. I always have to get proof that they love each other.to show them on the days when they think they don't. There was a lit flowe...

Our Ohana: April 2013
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 30, 2013. While the weather was still hot, we escaped down to the coast for a weekend in March for no other reason than to just get away and play on the beach. We opted to try out a new area, Merimbula, which is a lot farther south than we usually go for a weekend trip. It was such a gorgeous beach. Really breathtaking. The town itself was pretty adorable too! We camped at a site right next to the beach. We are definitely getting better at doing the whole tent thing with small children!

Our Ohana: June 2013
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 26, 2013. We got to spend a few fun days showing Rachael and Phil around Canberra! We still don't know exactly when that will be, but it's coming. They won't let us stay forever. We've asked. more than once. I don't know if we showed Rachael and Phil enough to convince them of Canberra's awesomeness - we still had to plan our outings around the kids school schedules and all the other busy bits of being back at home - but it felt so good to have family here after so long! See what I mean?

Our Ohana: September 2013
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 30, 2013. It's that time of year again when the city puts on this amazing floral festival! We love going to see what kind of patterns they've made with the flower beds each year and what activities they've set up. The kids each painted a gnome to take home. These three little friends are now comfortably living in our back garden, guarding our home night and day. Some finished gnomes on display. Some colorful flower beds. Look at this color! Rubber duck photo bomb! Fish and chips picnic!

Our Ohana: October 2013
http://sorensonohana.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. Hooray for fun, sugar-filled holidays! Okay, I'm getting a little snarky now, since I've been blogging all evening to catch up because I want to finally print out the last couple of years. But Halloween really is fun! This year was even better than most because we invited some good little friends to join us at the embassy Halloween party! I love the ingenuity. The baddies and the goodies! I'm a member of the Rat Pack, get it? Posted by Our Ohana. Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
