We thought it was time our hut had a new coat of paint inside to reflect the characters of the current group of Rangers. So, at the end of August, members of the unit turned out to move the furniture out of the way, clean the walls and then repaint in a new 'daytime' theme of green, blue, white and (a little) yellow. The Hall Committee have made significant improvements to the grassed area outside the Ranger HQ this summer, replacing the somewhat rough and uneven worn out grass with a nice level area of artificial lawn, bounded by a new fence and path, and including an area for our barbecues. Over the summer of 2008 changes have been made to the Ranger Hut to improve access from the ramped entrance, widening the door and making it easier to get in by wheelchair. Well done to everyone who did the sponcered swim, well all being the five of us and those who watched. We managed to swim 435-ish lengths all together in an hour! We were all very tired and have made some money towards our trip to denmark. We need as many tickets to be sold for the quiz night as not many people have reserved tickets and we need to know how many people are coming for food,.
