I find this process incredibly inspiring, fun, and intense. Like a game of chess, I must think several steps ahead to realize the final outcome. One cut gone wrong, and an entire piece could be lost. Paper cut art has its origins most popularly in China as early as the 6th century, and Germany where it was called ‘Scherenschnitte’. It is an art form and craft that I find truly inspiring and beautiful. I am attracted to its graphic quality and grace and enjoy learning through its process.
