Shannon Iris photography blog. September 12, 2013. I met Ron downtown today and we hung out for a little while. He was making palm frond flowers and I now have one strapped to my purse. The same hands that made my flower, delicate and light green, served in Iraq. Ron has had it pretty rough. He was a ward of the court from 5 months to 18 years. After that he joined the Navy. The lighter has significance. Huge significance. Ron has seen some things. He has three addictions: cigarettes, coffee and pepsi.
