amazed by the view: Engagement Party
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2013/11/engagement-party.html
Amazed by the view. Saturday, November 9, 2013. Restored carriage house at Ellerbeck Mansion where we had our engagement party. I loved this table (especially those gorgeous roses and that beautiful lantern from Pier 1), but not sure anyone really had time to notice it. Funny how much time it took for me to plan all the details. The poem in the frame. Is by Neurda and the brown book is a collection of Neruda poems (from my college days). Jeremy chose a Neruda poem. But the incredible caramels. Moab, UT, ...

amazed by the view: Who I am
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2009/04/who-i-am.html
Amazed by the view. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Yesterday a friend asked me a question. and I found it difficult to answer. I suppose it is a question that everyone finds challenging to define to some extent: Who am I? How do I view myself? Perhaps the answer is too personal to try to put onto a blogpost, but a few thoughts about it anyway. There's a lot more I could add, but I think those things cover the most important answers. at least for now. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Get to Know Me Blog Posts.

amazed by the view: Divine Beckoning
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2010/05/divine-beckoning.html
Amazed by the view. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Some days, unexpectedly. The temple calls to me,. As if pulling me up. From my dim, gray routine. To a place of radiating light. Where higher views and renewed hope. Speak peace to my trembling heart. At first beckon, I struggle. To block out the clamor. Of a busy, shifting world. Whose vanity has pulled me. Still enough to be. Anxious to make the ascent. To my mountain top;. Slowly peeling off layers. Of uncertainty and weakness. That have smothered my faith;.

amazed by the view: What I've learned so far from living in Alexandria, VA
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2010/01/what-ive-learned-so-far-from-living-in.html
Amazed by the view. Sunday, January 31, 2010. What I've learned so far from living in Alexandria, VA. Being 25 and single doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. A larger sense of what it means to be an American. The relativity of wealth. I make a considerable amount more money working out here in the DC area. I am not considerably more financially secure. Who knew a $900,000 house could feel so ordinary? The value of a good pair of running shoes and a gym membership. Why traveling is so fulfilling.

http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2009/03/last-night-while-i-was-discovering-ways.html
Amazed by the view. Thursday, March 12, 2009. I'm not really picky. just opinionated. Last night, while I was discovering the ways in which a mango and raspberry yoasis frozen yogurt sends shock waves to the top of my head, a friend invited me to make this list. He probably didn't think I would actually do it. but I did and am publishing it on this blog with the hope it will actually force me to start to like some of the things on the "learn to like" list. Things I've learned to like:. Nuts in ice cream.

amazed by the view: Adventures of late
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2009/05/last-few-weeks-have-been-whirlwind-lots.html
Amazed by the view. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! Lots of good times, and lots of times I was sure how I was going to get everything done. I guess I'll just let these pictures tell some of the story. The temple was intricately and incredibly beautiful. every inch of it! This is my mom and I at. a cemetary. She's trying her best to instill her love in genealogy in me and insisted we stop to visit an ancestor's grave. Her name was Nancy. Maybe I'll find it...See the littl...

amazed by the view: Biography
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2008/12/well-its-been-little-while-since-ive.html
Amazed by the view. Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Devany was born June 12, 1984 at a small army hospital in Tooele, Utah. She is the first daughter of Deven Kay and Betseylee Browning. Her ancestors' legacy of sacrifice and faith continued into the family of her father. Her father's family is a very tight knit family, strong in the LDS faith. Her mother is a first generation convert to the church. Growing up in a Catholic home, Betsey was introduced to the LDS faith at age 21. Devany was a serious, shy, ...

amazed by the view: Moving on and Learning the Organ
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2013/03/moving-on-and-learning-organ.html
Amazed by the view. Sunday, March 24, 2013. Moving on and Learning the Organ. I recently made the move out of the single's ward *gasp* and into a family ward. No, I'm not quite old enough to be kicked out yet, but it just felt like time. Maybe this had something to do with having been in 13 different singles wards (and not feeling especially involved in my last one). Yep I counted them:. A few horrible months in a nearly all girls singles branch in West Yellowstone. BYU Old Mill ward (Bishop McGarr. J.

amazed by the view: Spring Break in Zion
http://devanykay.blogspot.com/2013/03/spring-break-in-zion.html
Amazed by the view. Monday, March 18, 2013. Spring Break in Zion. What a contrast this post is from the last. This one captures 70 degree sunshine heaven, and the last one captured near freezing snowmobiling winter adventures. I will admit I'm partial to the first. Our first day we made the trek up to Angel's landing. Jeremy captured the view, the heights, and the excitement of the climb up to the top. Loving the sun and the view from 1500 feet up.
