At the Whithorn Spring Arts and Crafts Fayre held at the weekend, there was a great display of the work achieved by the children of Whithorn School during their wider achievement time. Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Members of the Monday Club met, this week, at The Belted Galloway for a cuppa and a chat about what is happening over the coming months. There was great enthusiasm and under Lyn's guidance, the members agreed on things for the future. It was agreed that there would be NO MONDAY CLUB on 6th APRIL due to many people having commitments over Easter. The next meeting therefore is on 20th April at the usual place and time, Penninghame Church Hall, 10am. 18th May: Spring / Summer Fair.

Tuesday, 23 September 2014. Tai Chi For Health and Fall Prevention Course – 2nd to 23rd September 2014. Some of the members of the Monday Club took part in four taster sessions of Tai Chi for Health and Fall Prevention at Penninghame Church Hall. The sessions were delivered by instructors Patsy Cullen and Lyn Irvine. Wednesday, 13 May 2015. Jills of All Trades / in the Community. The Jills have had a new request to assist a local resident who is having difficulty with home decoration. The group have been practicing their skills in preparation for this new task in a couple of weeks time. The assistance to be given includes filling in damaged walls, sanding and painting of the hallway. When finished, this will make the homeowner happier as the entrance to the house will be tidier.
