Dnsfilter や dnsqr などが問い合わせる サーバの IP アドレスは DNSCACHEIP 環境変数, /etc/resolv.conf, 127.0.0.1 の順になります。 検索項目 192.168.0.0 から 192.168.255.255 までの 65536 個の IP アドレスに 対する PTR レコードを問い合わせることにしました。 次のwalldnsに問い合わせたときの測定から、 dnsfilterの問い合わせ生成能力も 16000 query/秒以上であることがわかります。 Pentium III 800MHz上の FreeBSD では毎秒 16000 queryを処理できました。 2 台から問い合わせてみたときの状況から判断すると、 毎秒 27000 queryくらい処理できそうです。 Walldnsに対して、一台のクライアントから問い合わせを送って、 2200 query 生成できました。 キャッシュミス時は 3000 query/秒、 キャッシュヒット時 6400 query/秒 で処理できました。
