Wednesday, October 29, 2008. A few nights ago Silja prayed for our dinner and at the end of her prayer she said "and Lord, please give us a bathtub." Hilarious! Tuesday, January 29, 2008. A Note to Remember. I don't know why I thought this was so funny. It came home in the lunchbox I send with Jens on Thursdays. My kids absolutely love their days with Jean. Every year about this time we head up to Whistler for a weeklong family ski trip with all of Knut's siblings, their families and his mom and her husband, Jack. Sunday, November 9, 2008. November is a crazy month for us, since we have 3 birthdays in the span of just over 3 weeks. Knut started us off by turning 32 on Nov. 6. Happy Birthday Honey! We laid low on his big day but had a yummy dinner and dessert. Steak with blue cheese and bruschetta and these delicious little custard pastries from Trader Joe's - yep, no homemade cake this year, it was a work night for me! I was amazed to find out that they have them at several state parks in WA and they are awesome!

Friday, May 23, 2008. Is it summer yet? This last weekend was a summer tease if there ever has been one. Knut left town for a guy's golfing trip and the kids and I managed in the heat by ourselves, and took a break from the work going on at our house. With our resident handyman gone, no work got done. We've officially begun a huge project at our house - remodeling all of our bathrooms and our kitchen! Here is a recap of what we're doing - and what we will do over this summer. Sunday, March 23, 2008. Wow, go vocab! In my previous post I couldn't remember an example of Silja blowing me away with her words. Well, not 2 minutes ago she said to me: "This tassle on my coat is kind of like a plume, which is a fancy word for feather." I nearly choked on my chocolate easter bunny (thanks, Mikelle! And made her repeat it. To bring us down to earth, she also says things like "furting" her own word for fart, and still continues to say "doofway" instead of freeway. More on Easter to come.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This post is way overdue, this girl never updates her blog, blah, blah, blah. I have a zillion excuses for my procrastination but like I think I said in an earlier blog, I'm not going to apologize anymore. We've had a lot going on. Here is the scoop:. 3 I had an exciting experience a few weeks ago - I helped a family have their first baby. Back in September, I took a doula training course. What is a doula? That's it for now.
