The pattern instructed me to hem the top of the skirt prior to pleating but I am a rebel and I used the weft edge of the silk instead. ‘Cause that’s how I roll. The color is grey. I know what you’re thinking, “What happened to the lavender bodice and skirt set with the one giant pleat over the butt? Now on to the bouquets!

Here is my garden schedule built using Melinda Myer’s book, Month by Month Gardening in Minnesota. As soon as possible – plant onions. April 1st – peppers and tomatoes. Beets, carrots, lettuce. Outdoors ( I have not done this yet, waaaay too cold. I will modify this to May 1st.). May 1st – onions. April 5, 2009.

Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Opening the windows to air out the house. In the matter of 2 months and 2 days I went from married to divorced. I opened my eyes March 7th and finally saw May 9th. There were so many masks worn over the 13 years he and I were married. So many excuses, apologies, rationalizations, denial. so much denial.
