My name is Ellen de Jong, founder of Doula Elle. I am a Doula based in the Illawarra region of NSW, and hold a Certificate IV in Doula Support Services from the Australian Doula College in Sydney. I love the ‘in the moment’ feeling of being present at a birth. Nothing else matters, the ‘outside world’ appears to not exist for that period. Supporting the mother and her partner, having trust in the birthing process, making sure that their needs are met and they are well looked after.
