This year we were struggling to decide where to go on holiday, so when Simon announced he was marrying Sue (no, not my sister Sue) in South Africa it rather made the decision for us. So Vietnam will have to wait until next year. I'm still working on the diaries, but here's the bits that I've finished so far:. Week 1 - In and around Cape Town. Simon's wedding day - wildlife in the morning, wild party in the evening. Week 2 - Game parks and landscapes.

Underwater Photography in Egypt. The last few of weeks seem to have been underwater photography season. It all started with a really excellent seminar by Alex Mustard and Martin Edge which could almost have been entitled, Everything you wanted to know about underwater photography. Originally, Sue and I were planning to go to Bonaire and Costa Rica, but finding direct flights across the Carribean was pretty much impossible. So instead we went to Indonesia. Rather than bore everyone with thousands of holiday photos I've decided to put the best ones on the web so you can browe them at your leisure. To keep loading times down I've split it into several pages.

Cuba, March 2012. This year Sue and I decided to head for Cuba, before the Americans lift their embargo and it becomes just another Caribbean island. Our flight out to Havana arrived right on time, and Cuban immigration went smoothly. We stopped to change some money into CUC and were soon sitting in a taxi heading for our hotel. All much easier than I had been expecting. On to Havana .

As you can see in the above photo, my dowsing tools are two L-shaped rods (L-rods). The rods can be pointers to the presence of historical clues.
