Junebug B: December 2010
http://twojunebugs.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 29, 2010. On Sunday, December 26th Princeton got quite a bit of snow with blizzard conditions - winds up to 50 mph. We totaled over 14 inches, officially. I took these shots on Monday the 27th after a little bit of shoveling, salting and plowing had already happened. It was nice to see the sun. With so much wind the trees and tops of buildings were pretty clear of snow, but there were some serious drifts in places, too. Monday, December 27, 2010. Every Christmas I love getting togethe...

Junebug B: Santa Fe, Georgia O'Keeffe and heading home
http://twojunebugs.blogspot.com/2012/04/santa-fe-georgia-okeeffe-and-heading.html
Saturday, April 28, 2012. Santa Fe, Georgia O'Keeffe and heading home. For Monday, our last day in Santa Fe, Ania and I checked out of our hotel and found parking in a garage downtown. We only had a few hours before we had to catch our flights home, but we knew we wanted to pack in a few last stops. The first stop was the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. There is also one sculpture of O'Keeffe's that's visible from the sidewalk around the corner from the Museum at the O'Keeffe Research Center:. I'd love to go ba...

Sunday, July 31, 2011. Mystic before the Wedding. Mac's extended family was vacationing in New London, CT, so we stopped to see them on Thursday for dinner and enjoyed a beautiful evening. It was great to get to meet more of Mac's family. After dinner and lots of catching up, we drove to a B&B in Mystic to spend the night. The highlight was the hot tub! We sat in there and watched shooting stars and satellites go by above our heads. It was great! And this is Mystic Seaport. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. After ...

Sunday, February 20, 2011. My mom's library system recently switched to selling reusable bags instead of giving away plastic bags to patrons. The slogan for the library is "Explore the Possibilities" so she thought it would be a good idea to have patrons take photos with the bag in various locations. She gave us a bag to take with us and these are the photos we took featuring what came to be known as "The Blue Bag" throughout the trip. Piper thought it was a pretty cool toy:. Junebug B: October 2010

Monday, October 25, 2010. Girls Night Out at Erin McKeown. The second set was a few new tunes and then an all-request set. She also changed into more comfy (and less frumpy) clothes, as you can see in the above photo. It was fun to hear some of my favorites played live. Her shows never disappoint and this was no exception. It was also a great excuse to hang out with Kim! This fall has been busy for both of us and it was nice to know that we had this to look forward to. Leaf-peeping from a canoe. On Satur...

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. And because we had 6 people on our team, we were awarded "Intramural Champion" t-shirts because we had the biggest departmental team at the race. So for one canned good we got two t-shirts and an afternoon to remember. It was a great day and for a good cause. All of the food went to support a local food bank in time for Thanksgiving. Monday, April 25, 2011. Easter with the Fam! The highlight of Easter at my parents' is always the backyard egg hunt. We give the little guys (not so little anymore! Then Sebastian gets his own go-time:. And then John and Nathaniel start last. They are not only the biggest and quickest of the crew, but John is pretty observant. Here he is noticing the egg right next to the deck:. All of the baskets were pretty even, but Sebastian topped out with 27 eggs! All of them had either candy or money in them.

Monday, November 1, 2010. Baby Monkey Jam Session. Last night Mac, Mike, Zeynep and I went out to dinner in honor of Zeynep's last night in Princeton. After dinner we headed up to my apartment for dessert and ended up bringing out the guitar and ukulele and playing a few tunes. And Mike got to debut his interpretation of Baby Monkey (Going Backwards on a Pig). Caught here on video. Enjoy! Pumpkin carving with Kiddos. The pumpkins turned out really great! Thursday, March 31, 2011. Minneapolis for work and fun! Last week I had the pleasure of attending a professional conference in a city full of wonderful friends! The conference was excellent and it was great to reconnect with colleagues from all over the country as well as my favorite Minneapolitans! I was in town! Something cool about Jerri and Mark's neighborhood is that there is a little diner around the corner that does Pie Happy Hour. Pretty much all evening, every slice of pie is only $1! I didn't h...

Tuesday, December 27, 2011. So on to what I made, and gave as gifts, this year. I didn't have the forethought to photograph the process or the finished gift baskets before they were opened, but here's an idea of what my family got for Christmas this year:. This was especially for Jill. She is the resident beet lover in the family and I thought she would like this new way of having them. And they're SO pretty! This photo doesn't even do it justice. The color of the beets is just outstanding. Was the Corn ...
