One idea we often have about God’s calling for us is that it is a straight line from here to there. I think that is a limited viewpoint because life is rarely that simple. In church today we were asked how the resurrection has changed our lives today . . . it seems like a simple question, but as I thought about it, I found the answers kept coming. Rather the question begged . . . what part of my life has been left untouched? How shall I then respond? The Israelites did what was evil in the Lord’s sight.
