Smoke and Throttle: 2013 York AMCA swapmeet
http://www.smokeandthrottle.com/2013/01/2013-york-amca-swapmeet.html
Sunday, January 20, 2013. 2013 York AMCA swapmeet. Last year I had a ton of crap to sell, but after unloading a lot of the british spares I had on my friend over at Quaker City Motorworks. This past fall, I really had a burning need to acquire versus purge. I have to say I'm proud of myself that I didn't pick up any more projects. I did score a 5 speed transmission for my future Triton build and a few cool t shirts, including one from my friends over at Urban Cycle Works. Smoke and Throttle on Flickr.

Smoke and Throttle: Shop Stop: Geiger Works, Philadelphia PA
http://www.smokeandthrottle.com/2013/01/shop-stop-geiger-works-philadelphia-pa.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. Shop Stop: Geiger Works, Philadelphia PA. Theres just something about walking into a warehouse for the very first time and having your vision clogged up with the site of old bikes floor to ceiling. It's a lot to take in and more questions are raised then answered. Where did all this stuff come from? What are the stories behind each and every item. It's a very romantic notion, I know, but I'm a hopeless romantic at heart - what can I say? In the Kensington section of Philsdelphia.

Smoke and Throttle: R.I.P. Dennis Hopper. A legend is lost....
http://www.smokeandthrottle.com/2010/05/rip-dennis-hopper-legend-is-lost.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. RIP Dennis Hopper. A legend is lost. I say, if you're going to build and ride an old school chopper, you need to have the style and attitude to back it up. This picture of Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider pretty much sums up both. This one from Glory Stomper works too: Note weathered grizzly biker style does NOT apply to chick on the back. This is KEY to the look. What does that mean? Predating some of his most brilliant dialogue in Blue Velvet. By some 18 years. S&T's partner in crime...

Sunday, February 28, 2010. Saturday, February 27, 2010. Friday, February 26, 2010. Morgan and I took a trip to San Fransisco a couple of years back. We stayed in the top floor of this lovely hotel. In fact our room is the one on the corner with the heart in it. We had all three windows on the corner, which led itself to great views of the streets below. I even woke up to a 1am fight in the middle of the street! Thursday, February 25, 2010. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. A snake will be in order and hopefu...

The bike was all original except the paint, though it had been done prior to 1945 (the last year the bike was registered before being parked) so it seemed appropriate to leave it as it tells so much of the bikes days as a farm vehicle in the once rural town of Wainscott, NY.
