Alec, GCB and Frunch all attended Oberlin College. In Ohio. In 1997 Frunch stumbled across The Dvorak Simplified Keyboard Layout on the internet. Frunch told GCB about his discovery and the pair immediately set out to learn it. The following year Alec was quickly convinced that Dvorak was the only way to type. A few days after we published The Dvorak zine, DVzine.org was featured on the technology site Slashdot.org. And tens of thousands of people from around the world read our zine. It was only when emails started pouring in from all over the world that we realized how America-centric our zine was! Sadly, a common problem for Americans).
