What is vision therapy. We have been providing services for those with dyslexia for over 15 years. Alastair Wade our managing director has spent years training in colorimetry, vision therapy and syntonics and is a qualified Behavioral Optometrist. He is regarded as an authority on the treatments he offers and is often asked to give talks to educational groups and schools. Wade Opticians have 7 branches across the North- East and assessments are carried out in Prudhoe, Durham and Darlington.

What is vision therapy. The colorimeter allows an Optometrist to logically and sequentially explore colour space to find the optimal colour for the relief of visual stress found in certain individuals with dyslexia. The colour can either be made into spectacle lenses or contact lenses. The tint is selected rapidly and efficiently in an examination lasting about 45 minutes carried out by a specialised practitioner. We are here to help. Introductory eye examination and consultation- Free. 1hour appointment with Alastair Wade where patient’s visual development will be investigated. 1hour appointment focussing on the development of the patient’s eye teaming skills using various ophthalmic techniques. 1hour 30 min. appointment analysing patient’s visual memory skills and eye tracking ability. A full appointment may not be necessary, you will be advised during session 1 if this is required. We are here to help.
