Are We There Yet? Interesting photos and signs. Free and Low Cost Camps. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. Train and first night in Vancouver. After staying in Seattle for one night after the cruise, we took the Seattle Shuttle bus to King Street Station for the Amtrak Cascade Coastal train to Vancouver. Check-in and security went smoothly. The train was comfortable and the view wonderful. The train moved slowly enough for the scenery to pass and for us to take photos. View from our room :(. In the lift :).

Are We There Yet? Interesting photos and signs. Free and Low Cost Camps. Saturday, 30 May 2015. Whenever we plan a holiday, or arrive in a new place, I like to take time to read about every detail so time won’t be wasted looking for things, or time wasted once there ‘reading’. First thing I do is look at a Google Map of the place. I look at all the choices of accommodation. Price is important, especially when on a budget. To’ the transport. For example, in Seattle we preferred a hotel near the Space Need...

Are We There Yet? Interesting photos and signs. Free and Low Cost Camps. Saturday, 26 July 2014. Wednesday 11 September 2013. After Augathella we headed north through Tambo to Blackall for overnight. Tambo is famous for it's Teddies. Sadly the Teddy shop was closed, but Peter and Jonnie had a pie and sausage roll. Restful afternoon, just watching the comings and goings. The camping area was very large. Most campers camped by the river or the small toilet blocks. At the tourist centre I picked up a histor...

Green Tea & Treacle - Page 5 of 9 - a lot of green . a little sweet

Who What . Why. Bits & Bobs. This thoroughly modern take on a traditional and very well known Lebanese salad is just as quick to make as the original version using bulgar (cracked wheat). It comes to Green Tea and Treacle via the lovely Louise Edney who runs the Nourishing Nosh Cooking School. Quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is often mistaken for a grain but is in fact a seed. Originating in the Andes region of South America it’s gluten free, protein and fibre rich and low GI. Serves 8 as a banquet dish.
