Wednesday, June 29, 2011. We're Missing the Point. Such negativity invokes a sickness inside of me and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure I am not alone. We've all encountered this from time to time. Sure, the people are different but their outlook is the same. In fact, if life were Twitter the following would trend: Why are you still complaining about the past? It was a long time ago.Are you crying about this again? Do they not notice the drama going on right in their own backyards? I am afraid th...

Saturday, May 7, 2011. One I'd Rather Forget. February 18, 1997. Early morning. I was sound asleep in my bed until a loud noise startled me awake. It was a metallic sound, like someone dropping pots and pans onto a concrete floor. It was an unusual sound, one that did not belong during the early morning hours. Had I only dreamed it? Rachel, what's wrong? Yes" It was faint, but it was a response. Where are you hurt? Something's wrong with Rachel! I said, out of breath. I know, she's weird." he said, n...

Posted by Peter Combs. Know that while the idea of poking the sleeping dragon seems pointless, the dragon may wake up without warning. Im glad youre using this as an outlet. Keep writing friend. Friday, April 29, 2011. One I'd Rather Forget. Posted by Peter Combs. Monday, April 18, 2011. What can I say about Devon? Perhaps you could assume that his jocular antics really were masked attempts at being noticed. I suspect your assumption wouldn't be that far from the truth. Posted by Peter Combs. Thursday, February 10, 2011. One I'd Rather Forget. In my last post I mentioned my parent's incarceration. When it happened, it was all so suddenly, at least for us kids that is, we never saw it coming. I am sure anyone else could have predicted it, but if they did, I never knew. Posted by Peter Combs. Home: A Brilliant Solution
http://petercombs.blogspot.com/2011/07/brilliant-solution.html
Friday, July 15, 2011. Today I read an. That suggests a solution to childhood obesity by removing children from their home and placing them in foster care. I can't begin to say how much this article infuriates me. I realize that the study offers a plan that would promote other avenues to be explored prior to removing the child, but in my opinion this is still unacceptable. When I was 14, I was taken from my home and placed in foster care- obviously for reasons other than obesity, although I. My point is ...

Thursday, July 7, 2011. Of Races, Flat Tires and Rain. Last Monday, on July 4th, I participated in the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta. The Peachtree Road Race is considered the nation's largest 10k, and an Atlanta tradition, so it goes without saying that the energy was literally bouncing off the roads. As I mentioned in an earlier post. My sister Rachel was by my side every step of the way. For this reason, I'm very proud of her. It was not an easy feat. Because of everything my parents did. We had the ...
