Sunday, July 13, 2014. Hello, I am so happy that you stopped by today. Please, pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable and sit a spell. I have a little story to share. I love telling stories; I suppose that it why I starting blogging several years ago. MissDazey's Town Square: August 2012
http://www.smalltownsquare.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 13, 2012. Rex and Elyse Gomez welcomes you. Last month I received the most delightful basket of cookies for my birthday from Bill and Claudia. Thankfully, they know I love cookies. Also While I wasn't surprised to get a delivery, I was totally surprised and excited when this beautiful basket was hand delivered to my house. I've received cookies via FedEx before, but never personally delivered. What a treat! The number and variety of baskets and designs is quite remarkable. I like to shop i...

Granny's Old Fashioned Common Sense: Going Green
http://granny-green.blogspot.com/2012/01/going-green.html
Thursday, January 5, 2012. Checking out at the grocery store recently, the young cashier suggested I should bring my own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment. I apologised and explained, "We didn't have this green thing back in my earlier days." The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations.". Not a screen the size of the state of Victoria. In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand ...

Granny's Old Fashioned Common Sense: Do spices get old?
http://granny-green.blogspot.com/2011/12/do-spices-get-old.html
Friday, December 30, 2011. Do spices get old? Actually, spices won't spoil, but they will lose potency over time, and in general, they're best if used within six months of purchase. They should be stored in a cool, dry place, and if you're unsure of a spice's freshness, take a sniff - if there's no smell, toss it and restock. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Granny's Old Fashioned Common Sense: Scratches on Wood Furniture?
http://granny-green.blogspot.com/2012/01/scratches-on-wood-furniture.html
Thursday, January 12, 2012. Scratches on Wood Furniture? Scratches on your wooden floor or a piece of wood furniture driving you nuts? You can have a quick fix to this problem with a Brazil nut or a pecan. Break open the nut and rub the raw part where the scratch is. The natural oils that are so tasty do a double job by darkening the wood and making the imperfection blend in. Wipe with a soft cloth to remove any residue from the nut. Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs. Have a hard time peeling your hard boiled eggs? Over time I have learned that the fresher the egg the harder it is to peel. If you can, don't make your hard boiled eggs the same day you buy them. You would think that the fresher the egg the better, but that's not actually the case. Eggs that are a week old work best but of course make sure they are not past the expiration date. Thursday, January 12, 2012. Scratches on Wood Furniture? Checking out at th...

An Attitude of Gratitude. One woman's journey to learn to live life from a place of gratitude while fighting Rheumatoid Arthritis. Friday, October 10, 2014. The Verdict is In? I saw my Rheumatologist today and the verdict is in; I am a hot mess. They now give you a "Patient Plan" at each visit that outlines everything going on. Looking at my "plan" is depressing at best. My "Problem List" reads as follows:. My meds list is now 8 RX's deep- plus a multi, B-12 and Prilosec. 3- Abnormal Liver Enzymes. My wo...
