It is starting to get cold here but nothing like at home. A jacket is not even necessary all the time. It is so wonderful that it rained in Oregon. It is a miracle to start your fast and have it rain that day. It was a wonderful birthday present for Elder Johnston on Saturday. We have some wonderful people here in our area. We feel so grateful to be here.

Gloria Hayes daughter Serenity. Heather smiths husband and twins. Charlie Joe Lane (Freeman). Pres Cabaniss's boy in the back. Heather Smith boys in front. Heather Cabaniss and Sister Nolan. Robin Beck so sweet. The Sister Missionaries reaching into our trunk! Our trunk made up for trick or treating.

Monday, March 2, 2015. And now it is March and another brother’s birthday, and sister too! Happy birthday to a brother, Don and sister, Kay. We are doing good. The mud from the melted snow kept the men from grubbing today so two helped with building construction, one. All day just to find where the cows are. He feeds half on Wed. and the other half on Thu. We Sisters did meet and plan food for branding. When my husband saw the menu, he said that it will never do, not. Enough meat and potatoes. Yikes!

Wednesday, March 11, 2015. I wish I had pictures of the really bad roads. We just cannot explain how bad they can get. The pickup and trailer are the grubber’s transportation and fuel/service trailer. Keith tries to have the fuel delivery truck fill the tank rather than having to fill it himself out of the big tank here at headquarters. It takes forever. The tank will last four days. The best news though is Kameron’s mission call to Alaska! There is no way I can resist attaching this picture, agreed?

One of the first memorable occasions was a visit by Elder Cook of the Twelve, the Presiding Bishop and their wives, this is a group of us being photographed after a good lunch and some words of inspiration. A typical, traditional fale, (house), living quarters used by the local population. Size is dependant on the size of the family and the income. The Islands have several. Beautiful as the last.
