Notes from today

July 30, 2014. Turkey { Ephesus }. This week we had the incredible opportunity to visit the ancient site of Ephesus as well as St. John's Basilica . It is amazing to walk in the same place that Paul journeyed and sit in the same market square where he sold his tents, or walk through the church dedicated to Jesus' disciple John. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Oh well, my tomato soup and veggie omelet were tasty, at least. Our distinctly Turkish room! I don't want all of my words taking away from the pic...

Notes from today: September 2012

http://www.eliandrobyn.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

September 26, 2012. Early in my pregnancy, my doctor gave us the due date of August 29th. This date was so special because it's also my dad's birthday. We kept saying how neat it would be if our baby and her grandpa got to be birthday buddies! As we got further in the pregnancy, though, we started to wonder if this date would pose a problem. I know, I know - how could any particular day be a problem? I will spare you the details, but I hope that was a one-time thing and doesn't have to happen again!

July 31, 2012. 32 - 35 weeks. Last time I posted a maternity/pregnancy related post, we were about 9 weeks away from meeting our little girl. Now we are less than a month away! We trust that God will guide us and prepare us to be the best parents we can be. So thankful we don't have to do this alone! At this point, she has grown to her maximum lengthwise. All she has to do now is finish packing on the weight. And believe me, I can't wait. To snuggle with her cute, chubby little self! Two years ago, and s...

Notes from today: Jacksons in Turkey

http://www.eliandrobyn.blogspot.com/2014/07/jacksons-in-turkey.html

July 8, 2014. I just want to write a quick post about our upcoming adventure. (really, it will be quick this time! Eli, Sarah and I have the opportunity to travel to Turkey for a month and work alongside a family in their work on the field. Eli and I feel that our family is called to serve, but as of right now, we don't know what all that includes. We don't have any specifics for our future, but we can feel God working in our family to prepare us. Safety: the area we will be working in is very safe, away...

http://www.eliandrobyn.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

July 15, 2013. I am so afraid of these days going by too fast. So instead of operating on the fear of how fast time is flying, I'm going to enjoy the present. Be back soon with a recap of things that have happened and Sarah's past few months. Posted by Eli and Robyn. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lessons I am Learning. A New Journey Begins. Notes from today: Turkey { week 1 }

http://www.eliandrobyn.blogspot.com/2014/07/turkey-week-1.html

July 16, 2014. Turkey { week 1 }. Edited to add: we have talked with our mentors and we cannot publicly post anything connected to the people we encounter. This is just for their safety and privacy. However, we would love to share with you once we get back home! Thank you for understanding, and enjoy the "touristy" side of our trip! This post will probably be long, but I want to fill you in on the details of our time here so far. This one happens to be at the front of our site. Showing off her new tricks.

Welcome to Crosbyville: May 2014

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 30, 2014. June 9th, 2014. Still working on a middle name.I believe we have it narrowed down to two. Belly button in or out:. In most of the time, but sometimes out. Anything cold, or carbs. Awful Absolutely awful. I've had several nights in the past week where I can count the number of hours I've slept on one hand. It's sad, and I'm convinced it will get BETTER after I have this girl in my arms. If not, at least I'll have a cute baby to look at. My last week of work! Maybe my next post will b...

Welcome to Crosbyville: February 2015

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Lucy - Six Months. Oh my sweet Lucy Joy. Life with this baby is so sweet. Her cheeks are growing by the day, and are delicious, in case you are wondering. We had another very serious photo shoot this month, she was not interested in smiling until we got inside.little stinker! Health wise, it was a so-so month. She had a little cold, which of course turned into an ear infection because that's just how my kids roll. No clue. haha. Big girl is up to 18lbs and 26 inches long!

Welcome to Crosbyville: Sister, Sister

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014/09/sister-sister.html

Friday, September 19, 2014. Seeing my girls together does something to my heart that I can't quite explain. Watching them grow together is such a blessing. Ruby loves her sister SO much. And Lucy, well, she'll figure it out. Maybe once she's not being squeezed so much she'll like Ruby a little more. A friend made the girls these adorable outfits, and it was a great excuse for a little sister photo shoot. I love these two more than words can say. Posted by Allye Crosby. Welcome to Crosbyville: December 2014

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 1, 2014. Lucy - Five Months. This little one is growing and changing way too fast for me. I should be expecting this, since I've experienced how fast this time flies by with Ruby, but it still takes me by surprise. Lucy is still such a little love bug. She's a cuddly little thing, and is always happy to be in someones arms. She rarely gets put down because of that. She's happy, laid back, and gives the best gummy grins. No real health issues this month, praise the Lord! I can't think of ...

Welcome to Crosbyville: February 2014

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 19, 2014. June 9th, 2014. Still undecided. I've crossed out a few names on the list, and only added one more. Progress. I told Andrew last night that this baby seriously might not have a name until after she is born. Not quite sure, but I've been eating like crazy, so I'm assuming it's starting to shoot up! Just the ones left over from Rubes. Belly button in or out:. I've figured out how to sleep comfortably (for now! I'm feeling pretty content right now. Posted by Allye Crosby. Ruby ...

Welcome to Crosbyville: March 2014

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 17, 2014. 28 weeks. Hello, third trimester! Time seems to be flying by! June 9th, 2014. Still undecided, although I feel like we are possibly getting closer. Not sure, but guessing along the lines of 12-15 lbs. Maybe more! Yes I'm squeezing into some of my non-maternity tops still, but pants are totally out of the question. Just the ones left over from Rubes. Belly button in or out:. Coffee, with lots of half and half. This week has been ROUGH! Besides the sandy beach, sunshine, and sleep?

Welcome to Crosbyville: Lucy -- Four Months

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014/12/lucy-four-months.html

Monday, December 1, 2014. Lucy - Four Months. Lucy is already 5 months old, so I figured I should get this up before she turns 6 months old next week. Oops! She's a gem. We couldn't be anymore lucky with this sweet, laid back, content little girl. With a very high energy, rambunctious, CRAZY big sister, it's such a blessing to have a chill baby that's happy to just chill in someone's arms amidst the crazy. Least favorite things: Being left alone in a room for longer than ONE second, not being held. Our s...

Welcome to Crosbyville: April 2014

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 29, 2014. June 9th, 2014. Houston, we have a name.a first name at least. We're keeping it slightly under wraps until her birthday though. No reason really besides the fact that I remember getting really annoyed with people's reactions when I told them Ruby's name when we were expecting her. Sorry, but I really don't want your opinion. Why is this apart of the questions, again? Just the ones left over from Rubes. Belly button in or out:. In most of the time, but sometimes out. We started it...

Welcome to Crosbyville: September 2013

http://crosbyville.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 16, 2013. Ruby - TWELVE Months. I still can't believe I have a one year old. A tiny part of me wants to mourn the fact that my baby's infanthood has quickly vanished, but I'm having way too much fun enjoying her becoming a fun, interactive, hilarious, crazy little person to be sad. Ruby's first birthday fell on a Saturday, which was perfect. We were able to take her out to breakfast to one of our favorite local spots, The Ruby Slipper (fitting, huh? Ruby is still sleeping like a champ!
