Random Scribbling of a Grey Eyed Girl. Monday, November 8, 2010. The possibility/ challenges and changes. She'd been told a lot of things lately- some efforts to keep her smiling, that'd she'd make it our all the better after this year- a better, stronger person. some, on the other hand, were not so supportive. she'd been told that she never gave this city, this experience a chance. A self confessed commitment-phobe, she was asked the oh so challenging question: "but why? Her classroom was not brimming w...

Random Scribbling of a Grey Eyed Girl. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. The chicken/ comfortable in your own space. So she hated waiting more than anything. it was just one of those things she'd learned about herself over the years. she'd learned a great deal about herself as the years had gone by. there was also a lot that she was still unsure of. and a few things she wasn't sure she'd ever be willing to admit to. What is the word that suits what i'm seeking." she often wondered. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, August 18, 2008. Ms Gina, are you crying? Time I was there, as they kept trying to send me away to do things, when I kept mentioning that I could do those things right then without leaving and coming back. Finally, after much shuffling of my papers, copies, forms, and explanations, they said for me to call back in 10 business day. . I have surpassed my participant goal, but I am here, do I keep going and how far? Erin A. Loskutoff. August 19, 2008 at 12:32 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

It is Guyana, at once foreign, if not unheard of by many, and yet simultaneously familiar in its differences, to me. The point of anthropology, after an undergraduate degree in the field, has come back to me here as a nurse researcher in Guyana, many (! August 22, 2008 at 5:34 AM. Gina's Blog: By land and by river II
http://ginalonginotti.blogspot.com/2008/08/by-land-and-by-river-ii.html
Tuesday, August 12, 2008. By land and by river II. At Adel's, on a creek off of the Pomeroon River, where we were the only 2 guests staying at this odd little place. Long story. Highlight: we had 2 tarantulas living with us in our bedroom. Yes, and they were huge and creepy! Have I mentioned that this is a country with pirates. On the Pomeroon, I could totally imagine pirates sailing or speeding up and down the river. In some ways it felt like going back in time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Random Scribbling of a Grey Eyed Girl. Thursday, October 21, 2010. The expectation/ losing herself one piece at a time. To be better she'd need to be inspired, to be challenged, to be intellectually stimulated. instead she sat through mindless classes, watching her IQ plummet and her vocabulary diminish. the thought of writing an essay where she'd need to debate or even just to compare and contrast made her heart and mind ache for the institution she'd been all too ready to run away from. I Heart My Shoes.
