she goes stumbling through her memories.: June 2014

Saturday, June 21, 2014. It's not raining, but I can hear the thunder rumble of a quick, but fierce summer shower somewhere in the distance. It's officially the first day of summer, so I guess it wouldn't be complete with an afternoon South Carolina shower. I just woke up from a nap. Three hours is till just a nap, right? It's nowhere near the called for eight hours of sleep, but it is certainly a little bit more than just a twenty minute power nap. Nice words are a good place to begin, but then what?

she goes stumbling through her memories.: March 2015
http://withthepoodlesalready.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 02, 2015. It's been a long time since I sat in front of my computer to even think about blogging. Is it a better salary? Is it better coworkers? It might just be a good, swift kick in the ass from no one other than myself. Where do I want to be? I don't know. I can't truly answer that, but I don't think it really has anything to do with work. I digress.). What I really want to talk about is where I am right now. WHO I am right now. I am a child of God. Jesus, Keep Me Near The Cross. It ...

Thursday, May 22, 2014. I love my iPhone. I love Facebook. I love Instagram. I love iCloud and linked calendars. I'm connected and I've got a pretty high Klout score to prove it. But, I'll tell you what I'm starting to dislike. No one does that anymore. No one shows up unannounced or surprises people. No one leaves voicemails. No one writes letters - we hardly write emails - who is going to write a letter? Other than Gabe who writes amazing letters complete with wax seal.). While you're taking your preci...

Friday, October 25, 2013. Fear is a manipulative emotion. That can trick us. Boring life. - Donald Miller. I don't want to lead a boring life. I want my life to be full of goals that are crushed, relationships that thrive, and lots of coffee because there's not always enough time for sleep. I'm coming for you. Sunday, October 20, 2013. All Day Fall Day 2013! Saturday, October 12, 2013. What are you doing that brings you joy? What are you really into during this fall season? Friday, October 11, 2013.

Thursday, September 12, 2013. I am a pretty organized person. I have an iPhone and a day planner that I use constantly. My calendars are shared with my fiancé and my sweat schedule is posted for co-workers to see, join, or hold me accountable. Planning and organizing means you get to see everyone and do everything and not forget things. Great! That is just the way it is. I am trying to learn to deal with these things as they come. I'm getting better, but there are still usually tears involved. Reading my...

A hodgepodge collection of thoughts on food, family, faith and everything woven between that make up this beautiful tapestry we call life. As of today, Thursday, the 6th of March, 2014, I have literally worked a total of 12 days straight. This isn’t just any kind of work either. This is heavy duty,. Then maybe attacked again. Except I don’t look so cute. Really. Happy meals aren’t good for you? Geez I’m a lousy parent now too. Can we be honest? Can we be real for a minute? We all do it. To give my best t...

Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Something a lot of people would never guess about me:. I've run a half marathon. I mean, if I was playing two truths and a lie and I threw that tidbit in there, then 99% of the time people would probably choose it as a lie. Why? I hate running. And I'm pretty vocal about it. I don't hate running for the usual reasons. Although I do find difficult, boring and hard on my ankles. I kept running. I thought if I kept running, then I could fix how hard it felt to be single again...

February 27, 2014. As many of you know, I recently made a purposeful decision to return my overdue love of literature back to the Library of Lonesome and begin filling up my barren shelves, with a vast selection of titles and authors, in order that my quiver, in a literary sense, be full.
