Where am I now? Saturday, 28 February 2015. Having been to Hobbiton we had to go to the studios where they made the costumes, weapons and creatures featured in the films. Yesterday we were treated to a journey through time from the Stone Age to Roman times. Cluny Chapman’s work is often influenced by archaeology which is not surprising as she studied Archaeological Science at Bradford University. Archaeology is all about layers which she tries to replicate in her textile pieces in various ways. Canvaswork and even makes her own lace!
