Emiannie and the boys. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I go back and forth about whether this is harmful or helpful. Is it helpful to encourage them to show bravery even when they're scared? Or is it harmful to encourage them to disguise their true feelings when something feels off to them? It's tough. I want to raise brave young men and I want them to be the ones to save the day when everyone else is shaking in their boots. I guess as a mama, there will just always be that nagging "Am I doing this right?

Emiannie and the boys. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. There was yet another school shooting yesterday. A kid 9 years older than Miles shot a kid 8 years older than him. Disgusting. It's disgusting that the 15 year old was able to get his hands on an AR-15 rifle. And a ton of ammo for that gun as well as several knives. Tragic is that he was able to carry it onto a school bus and into a locker room at school where he met and ended the life of the younger boy. Is it stores that are selling to the wrong people?
