ckd: Readercon
http://ckd.livejournal.com/91518.html
There's a lot I want to say about the Readercon. But other people have said most of what I wanted to say already - and my RSI is acting up, so typing is a bad idea. Two things I think need saying, though:. 2 I haven't yet asked for my money back for next year's preregistration. I will if I have to (see #1 for why I might not have to), and if so I will then turn around and donate it to BARCC. Sure, the policy says "non-refundable but transferable" - but hey, Readercon's policies are made to be broken.

decant circle PAQ (potentially asked questions!) - Miss Molly
http://bookandbroom.livejournal.com/4482.html
Decant circle PAQ (potentially asked questions! Feb 5th, 2008 at 8:04 PM. It's not a FAQ, because there's no frequency involved here! I just thought I'd explain how I make some of my DC decisions, in case anyone happens to be wondering. Ideally, I try to keep my orders to no more than 50 to 60 bottles, or 40 participants, whichever seems better suited to the circle at hand (obviously those circles with way more scents will of necessity be a little smaller member-wise! So this isn't an answer so much as a...

My father is in the hospital. He was in the car with my sister… - One Mind's Maelstrom
http://blazepoet.livejournal.com/93864.html
Stories from a strange attractor. Jul 12th, 2010. My father is in the hospital. He was in the car with my sister yesterday when he got too dizzy to drive. He is unable to stand and they are doing an MRI this morning. In all likelihood he will be ok and this will be a correctable issue with his inner ear. Mortality claims us all. Year by year he will grow weaker and the figure of my childhood will fade into half remembered impressions and anecdotes. Time robs us of ourselves eventually. Jul 13th, 2010 01:...

His desires inscrutable but surely base. April 11th, 2013. It's been a gorgeous two days in NYC, so far. Hot and springlike at first, with buds and new leaves everywhere, plus a thunderstorm and a pleasant chill in the air, today. My weekend plans are shaping up a bit:. And her boy on Saturday. For his birthday shindig on Sunday. Not sure what to do on Mon and Tues, except at some point I know I need to make it back home to Portland, park the car, and get ready for the flight to Cleveland.
